Writer. Born in a seaside village of Yeongliman, southeastern bay of Korea (where POSCO is currently
located in), he still lives in his hometown, as an awardee of the 1980 International PEN Club Novel
Contest organised by the Korean Chapter and the 1989 Novel Contest marking the 400th
periodical of <Hyundae Munhak>, a magazine of Korean literature. Books by Lee include
<Dawn, Just Before Sunrise>, <Winter House>, <The Slow Bullet>, <The Red Whale>,
and the short stoy collections, <A Small Flag> and <Poetry Than Went Into the Fish's Stomach>,
and the biography, <Park Tae Joon>. Currently he is an executive at the POSCO TJ Park Foundation.
